Description
With ebony strung edging around the top edge and on the front vertically veneered section above the top drawer (known as a caddy top.) Circa about 1830.
This chest is of good original nut brown colour and patina. The drawer runners I replaced and they now all run smoothly.
The turned knob handles are original (except for one I have made.) The drawer sides are of oak with pine bottoms. This useful small size chest is ideal for a cottage bedroom or a sitting room.
