Description
This Chinese export military chest of drawers is of small proportions and beautifully made in two parts (for transportation) with the unusual feature of shaped joints on the sides, the maker is demonstrating his skills. The top and drawer fronts with triple line inlay and the reeded decoration show its Georgian inspiration. The top drawer has a slide with red leather for working, and compartments for pens etc. The back of the third drawer down has Mandarin/ Cantonese doodling reading.
