Description
An eye appealing and useful mahogany Bonheur du Jour, cum writing table in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster. Beautifully made, proportioned and of unusually small size. The galleried top with shelves for books or ornaments. The back is polished like the front and was designed to be used in the centre of a room. The flap folds over on to the opened drawer making a writing surface for laptop/ iPad work with a slide in the right hand end for papers etc. Standing on four well turned legs with castors. Retaining the original warm mellow colour and patina, charmingly adorned with ink blots from usage all adding to the character. In very good honest original condition.
