Two Georgian mahogany chairs

A pair of fine quality Georgian mahogany chairs circa 1800.The moulded cresting rails with scroll carved detail and lyre shaped splat with reeded legs.

The channeled seat rails with reeded corners and recently covered drop in seats.

The well designed turned legs are made from a single piece of timber. This unusual feature requires great skill to make. The cross stretchers give that bit of extra detailing.
